1948 – 2026

Sandra Sue Rister, 77, of Greenup Ky, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Ashland KY on July 15, 1948, a daughter of the late Eugene & Clara Mae Scott Callihan.

Sandra was a dining room manager at Greenbo Lake State Park for 14 years and a clerk for the Savage Grocery. Most of all she was a devoted grandmother who loved taking care of her Grandkids.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Donald Ray Rister in 2024.

She is survived by a son, Donald E. Rister and his wife LeighAnn of Minford OH; a daughter, Kristine Rister Willis of Greenup KY; five grandchildren, Stephen Rister, Shelby Rister Murnahan (Chase), Sidney Rister, Jordan Willis and Kelsie Willis; four great grandchildren, Jackson Rister, Silas Rister, Leland Murnahan and Sawyer Murnahan; a step grandson, Nick Ashley; a very special cousin, Ramona Adkins along with a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
