Scott Reed Obituary

Scott Reed

1979 – 2021

Randall Scott Reed of Wurtland, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 2, 2021.

Scott, as he was known to the many people who knew and deeply loved him, was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on September 5, 1979.

Scott graduated from Greenup County High School where he played football and ran hurdles, and from Southern State Community College where he studied business. He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps, and he later founded Reed Brothers Construction, becoming an expert in construction and automotive sales. He was foremost a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.

The role that brought him the most happiness by far was being the father of his beautiful daughter, Nevaeh Reed, by whom he is survived.

He is also survived by his mother Rosemary Howell (Washington Court House, Ohio), his father Randall Reed (Greenup, Kentucky), his brother Dylan Reed, his sister Adriana Jurich, and his niece Victoria Reed.

Scott believed in practicing forgiveness, and that everyone’s life is made better by learning to offer and to accept forgiveness: from our family, friends, God, and especially ourselves.

In lieu of flowers or condolences, his family gratefully invites you to remember Scott by practicing forgiveness in your own life.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY have been entrusted with Scott’s arrangements.
