1950 – 2022

Sharon Faye McGinnis 72 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Ashland KY on July 29, 1950, a daughter of the late Leo & Jean Clarke Vaughn.

She was a self-employed caregiver and a member of the Serenity Baptist Church. She loved her work, caring for people and babies. She was a very caring and loving person.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by a brother in law, Chester “JR” Blevins.  

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray McGinnis; a daughter, Amy Robinson of Greenup; two sons, Rodney Stanley of Greenup and Stewart Stumbaugh of Lexington; a step son, Dustin McGinnis and his wife Robyn of Greenup; fourteen grandchildren, Kyrie King, Dylan King, Christian Stanley, Sierra Stanley, Stewie Stumbaugh, David Stumbaugh, Jaden Pollie, Diesel McGinnis, Dozer McGinnis, Hailey Stumbaugh, Miranda, Stumbaugh, Michael Robinson, Kayla Vinson and Bailey Evans; four great grandchildren, Lovelle, Amyiah, Adalynn and Xander; three sisters, Angela Padgett and her husband Larry of Nashville TN, Karon Blevins of Middletown OH and Leota Boyd and her husband Dean of Ashland along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother John Reed.

Burial will follow in the Baker – McGinnis Cemetery in Greenup County KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the services on Sunday at the funeral home.     

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
