Sonny Logan
1932 – 2024
Forrest Glen “Sonny” Logan 91 of Warnock KY went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born on May 25, 1932. He was born, raised, raised his family, lived his entire life and passed in his home on the family farm in Warnock KY, a son of James Blain & Gladys Plummer Floyd Logan.
He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, a retired Carman for CSX Railroad, a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a 68-year member of Greenup Lodge #89, the Scottish Rite and Greenup Electa Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Shirley Louise Potter Logan in 2012; a grandson, Aidan Robinson; three brothers, Marshal Logan, Ray Floyd and Roy Floyd and a sister Ethel Burgess.
He is survived by two sons, Glen Paul Logan and his wife Robin of Georgetown KY and Eric Jamil Logan and his wife Jan of Warnock; a sister, Anna Lois Patton of Russell; five grandchildren, Christopher Logan, Erica Robinson, Karissa Logan, Forrest Blake Logan and Lakota Logan; eight great grandchildren, Hunter Logan, Wyatt Logan, Jacob Logan, Ethan Robinson, Sophia Logan, Jackson Logan, Sadie Logan and Myles Logan along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother David Braun.
Burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery in Warnock KY.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, and one hour before the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home.
Masonic funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM during visitation by members of Greenup Lodge #89.
Military graveside honors will be performed by the Vance Houston Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
