John Steven Murray, 65, of Owingsville KY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Centerpoint Health in Winchester KY.

He was born in Ashland KY on February 10, 1961, a son of the late John “Johnny” Mack & Carol Sue Brown Murray.

Steve was a laborer for Pentair in Winchester KY, he also worked at Tema for Toyota in Georgetown and was a truck driver for Auto Zone.

He was proceeded in death along with his parents by a sister Connie Sue Gilliam.

He is survived by a two daughters, Sarah Lyndsey Wise and her husband Tyler of Frankfort KY and Teva Chandley and her husband Bryan of Cynthiana KY; a son Leif Gilliam of Lexington KY; a grandson, Jaxon Scott Paul; two sisters Karen Kay Brown and her husband Clem of Hopewell KY and Sharon Gay Rister of Hopewell KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Bellew Cemetery in Greenup County KY by brother Chris Bellew.

There is no public visitation.
