Thelma Lou Adkins 79 of Wheelersburg OH went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg OH.

She was born in Wheelersburg on June 2, 1943, a daughter of the late James & Edna Wright Adkins.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by a son, John Harvey Adkins and nine siblings, Calvin (Betty) Adkins, Charles Adkins, Raymond (Sue) Adkins, Howard (Elizabeth) Adkins, Helen (Ben) Justice, Hazel Simmones, Edna Adkins, Nora (Wayne) Salmons and Gladys (Phillip) Coleman.

She was a member of the Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church.  

She is survived by seven children, Teresa (Russell) Workman, Janet Adkins Solomon, Joe Adkins, Prissilla (John Pace) Adkins, Edna (Rob) Lemons, Jason Adkins and James (Colleen Mahan) Adkins; fourteen grandchildren, Morgan Workman, Ryan (Paige) Workman, Ali (Blake) Hicks, Drew Adkins, Amber (Hunter) Quinn, Cody Adkins, Trevor (Sarah Rogers) Adkins, Logan Adkins, Krissy (Jamie) Nathan, Korey (Dillon) Sissel, Ariana Lemons, Miles Small, Rory Small and Brida Adkins; nine great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church in Flatwoods KY by Elder Gary Adkins.

Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the church.

There will be a church service held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday during visitation at the church.
