1947 – 2020

James Thomas “Tom” Cochran 73 of Wurtland KY went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY following a sudden illness.

Tom was born in Ashland KY on July 18, 1947 a son of the late James W. & Margaret Stafford Cochran.

He was a member and Elder of the Greenup Christian Church where he enjoyed being a member of the choir, was a customer service representative at Auto Zone in Ashland KY. He retired from Ashland Oil Inc where he worked in the computer science and services department for 22 years, was a car enthusiast and loved his Chevrolet Camaro’s.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Clarke Cochran; a son, James Matthew Cochran and his wife Mary of Wurtland; a daughter, Tonya Cochran Wenz and her husband Eddie of Maysville; five grandchildren, Kyle J. Cochran, Katherine Marie Wenz, Jacob Wenz, Dylan Liming and Brittney Liming; a brother, W. Joseph Cochran and his wife Vickie of Berryville VA; two sisters, Mary Cochran Matheny and her husband Al Swett of Oakton VA and Sharon Louise Harris of Lexington along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, co workers and friends.

Private funeral services will be Monday, December 14, 2020 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brothers Chris Bellew, Scott Hill and Mike Dennis.

Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods KY.

There is no public visitation.
