Vickie Blair
1958 ~ 2025
Vickie Lynn Blair 67, of Lloyd KY went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her residence after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Chillicothe OH on January 25, 1958, a daughter of Herman Richard & Bessie Lee Madden.
She was a retired Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from Kings Daughters Medical Center and was the President and a volunteer of Greenup Meals on Wheels. She formerly attended the Raceland First Baptist Church for over 20 years where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She most recently was a member of the Lloyd First Church of the Nazarene.
She was the family party planner, loved to do crafts and sew for her family. She loved traveling around the world with her family and friends and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassie Leigh Blair; her mother, Bessie Lee Madden and two brothers, William Ralph Madden and Richard Alan Madden.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Blair; a daughter, Katie Barrick and her husband Andrew of Tralee, Ireland; three grandchildren, Evelyn Barrick, Oliver Barrick and Conner Fraley; her father, Herman Richard Madden of Lloyd; two sister in laws, Connie Madden and Markie Madden both of Lloyd; two very special friends, Cathie Whitt and Wanda Kouns along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and numerous friends.
The family wants to make a special mention and give their gratitude to Vickie’s caregivers who never left her alone, including Cathie Whitt, Wanda Kouns, Connie Madden, Markie Madden and Versell Aldridge.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Lloyd First Church of the Nazarene by Brothers Kenny Martin III and Jack Edwards.
Burial will follow beside her daughter in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral service on Saturday at the church.
The River Cities Nurses Honor Guard will honor Vickie's nursing career with a tribute to her years of care for others with a service to start her funeral.
