1947 – 2023

Virginia Lee Virgin 76 of Oldtown KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Kings Daughters Medical in Ashland KY.

She was born in Ashland KY on March 8, 1947, a daughter of the late Arthur Calvin & Myrtle Virginia Gruwell Warren.

She was a graduate of Wurtland High School, a retired independent Insurance Agent and a founder of the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she enjoyed coloring and working with children.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by two husbands, Gerald Ralph Virgin in 1987 and Alan Donta in 2011.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph R. Virgin of Oldtown, David W. Virgin (Sandra) of Oldtown and Dale Virgin (Tom) of Lexington; a daughter, Amy V. Middleton (Homer) of Grayson; a brother, Dale Warren (Penny) of Tecumseh MI; a sister, Susan Stephens of Oldtown; 18 grandchildren, Emily P. Virgin (Bradley McClain), Nathan Virgin (Mary), David Virgin, James Virgin, Sterling Virgin, Charles Virgin, Elliot Virgin, Erin Haney (James), Mary Alarcon, Marie Virgin, Jackie Henderson (Lonnie), Trish Steele (Scotty), Tiffany Nelson (Marshall), Breanna Coffee, Ariel Ramey (Roger), Cody Williams (Teresa), Blake Williams (Crystal) and Coty Booth; 29 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother David Combs.

Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery in Oldtown KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Greenup Schools % Homeless Account 45 Musketeer Drive Greenup KY 41144.
