Wanda Gay Stepp McCarty 77, of Argillite KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Argillite KY on September 30, 1947, a daughter of the late Sam & Grace McKnight Stepp.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by three grandchildren, Patrick Normile, Yavonna Normile and Victoria Normile; a great grandchild, Logan Dean and seven siblings, Sonny Stepp, William (Bill) Stepp, Robert (Bob) Stepp, Darrell Stepp, Sydney Stepp (Gerldine), Rena Brown and Faye (Toot) Brink.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Vernon McCarty; three children, Donald Ray McCarty of Greenup, Pamela Conley of Ashland and Melinda Hall of Ashland; six grandchildren, Jessica Nichols, Brandy (Shawn) Haney, Erica (Mark) Burton, Michelle (Josh) Richards, Jeremy (Johnna) Nichols and Matthew Hall; two siblings, Helen Gallagher Beiter and Eddie (Buddy) Stepp along with a host on nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Gorgen Burgess.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
