William “Bill” Fyffe

1930 – 2021

William E. “Bill” Fyffe 90 of Argillite KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

He was born in Greenup County Kentucky on September 27, 1930 a son of the late John Herbert & Della Dunn Fyffe.

He retired from Armco Steel in 1993, was a member of the Sunshine Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War, a member of the Flatwoods Lions Club, a volunteer at the Greenup County War Memorial, a member of the Greenup County Wildlife Club and a member of the United Steel Workers.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Leonard “Jack” Fyffe and Earl Fyffe and a sister, Blanche McIntyre.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Cooper Fyffe; a son, Scott William Fyffe and his wife Kim of Argillite; a daughter, Tina Louise Hall and her husband Randy of Argillite; five grandchildren, Chelsey Sims (Dustin), Bradley Fyffe (Kate), Melanie Gillum, Jeremy Gillum (Meghan) and Jessica Hall (Jerri); eight great grandchildren, Scarlett Sims, Eleanor Sims, Mia Gillum, Jace Gillum, Jaxen Gillum, Jude Gillum, Madison Hatfield and Kaytie Hatfield; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special neighbors, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brothers, Bob Sweeny and Ken Southgate.

Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
