Willis Tolliver
1948 – 2024
Elder Willis Ellis Tolliver 75, of Wurtland KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on Smith Branch in Greenup County Kentucky on August 8, 1948, the youngest son of the late Jimmy Ellis & Callie Bentley Tolliver.
He retired from Meade Paper Company where he was their Woodlands Manager and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church. He was the Moderator of the Little Rosa Church as well as the Moderator of the Philadelphia Association of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death along with his parents by two sons, Paul David Tolliver and Robert Edward Tolliver; six brothers, Allen Tolliver, Ben Tolliver, Ray Tolliver, Willie Tolliver, Henry Tolliver and Coy Tolliver and two sisters, Ottie Brown and Pauline Withrow.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Agnes Anna Heath Tolliver; two sons, Willis Eric Tolliver and his wife Robin of Waverly OH and Calvin Matthew Tolliver and his wife Regina of Waverly; three daughters, Sheila Kay Adkins and her husband Gary of Load, Rebecca Ann Bailey and her husband Allen of Eden Prairie MN and Dorothy Anna Napier and her husband Gary of Wayne WV; 21 grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Tolliver and his wife Mary of Lloyd; two sisters, Sabrina Kiser of Wilmington OH and June Iery of Lloyd along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, his Old Regular Baptist Church family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Philadelphia Association Church Building in Worthington KY by Elder Gary Adkins.
Burial will follow in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.
Visitation will start at 4:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Association Building in Worthington with a Church Meeting being held each night by the Elders of the church at 6:00 PM.
