Alice Sue Bays 73, of Greenup went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Grahn KY on January 9, 1944 a daughter of the late Fred & Eva Thompson Kelley.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by two brothers, Denvil Waugh and Curly Waugh and a sister, Alfreda “Sissy” Coleman all of Waverly OH.

Alice was the Owner and President of John Bays, Inc. She enjoyed fishing, canning, gardening and camping.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John E. Bays; a daughter, Susan Bays Hepler and her husband Michael of Rush; a son, John D. Bays and his wife Stephanie M. of Worthington; two granddaughters, Susan Paige West and Tessa Jo West; three grandsons, John Dylan Bays, Zane Ryan Bays and Landon Michael Hepler; three great grandchildren; a sister, Francis Martin and her husband Dennis of Waverly; a brother, Keith Kelley and his wife Lynda of Waverly and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Tom Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Junior Furnace Cemetery in Franklin Furnace Ohio.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
