Patricia Ann “Patty” Nelson 77 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Woodland Oaks Nursing Home in Ashland KY.

She was born on March 14, 1939 in Greenup County a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln & Nellie Jewell Bays Hager.

She was a member of the Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her Husband, Charles Edward Nelson in 2015.

She is survived by five daughters, Carol Sue Hall and her husband John of Raceland, Regina Kay Huff and her husband Ray of Naples, Cobina Gay Holt and her husband Lowell of Wurtland, Diana Gayle (Kermit Scaggs) Schmidt of Greenup and Rhonda Ann Poplin and her husband Skip of Greenup; two brothers, Paul Hager and Mike Hager both of Greenup; two sisters, Rena Hager of Nitro WV and Dottie McDowell of Tenn.; six grandchildren Johnny Hall of Lexington, Vanessa Casto and her husband Alan of Boyd County, Adam Holt of Wheelersburg, Andy Holt and his wife Leigh Ann of Argillite, Amanda Geyer and her husband Josh of Argillite and Jessica Gordon of Nitro WV; ten great grandchildren, Zackery Casto, Brooklynn Holt, Landon Holt, Lola Holt, Tucker Holt, Tyler Holt, Josie Geyer, Blake Gordon, Aiden Oliver and Xander Oliver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church by Brother Clyde Bolling and Brother Bill Valance.

Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery N.E.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup and 1 hour before the funeral Wednesday at the church.
